Mooseheart Catich Lecture May 27!!!

Father Edward Catich will be "Coming Home" to Mooseheart, IL on Friday May 27 at 2:00 pm. Giles High School at Mooseheart will be celebrating the opening of their brand new wing with an exhibit of Catich artwork and a biographical lecture of his "Life and Times" by Paul Herrera.

Edward Catich and his three brothers were sent to Mooseheart after their parents died in 1918. That is where young Edward learned the sign painting trade that would support him in Chicago during the 1920's. His experience with brush writing would eventually lead to his breakthrough discovery of how the Imperial Roman alphabet was actually written.

The Mooseheart exhibit will feature his broadsides, paintings and his slate inscription work. The 2:00 p.m. lecture on May 27th is free and open to the public.

For more information about the school, visit the Mooseheart website or call: (630) 906.3646.
