Due to construction delays at the JB Young Center we have not been able to move into our new permanent home. We are hoping to be relocated into our office/gallery/shop/classroom space by the end of October. For now we have the use of a classroom space.
The Catfish Letter Arts School is welcoming our first visiting student, Jade Novarino this week.
She is working with pen and brush prior to working in slate next week.
Jade will be working with two of the CLAS core faculty, Paul Herrera and Amy Nielsen. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming weekly classes and special workshops for Fall-Winter 2017-2018.

The Art Legacy League is very excited to announce that we have been invited to be one of 7 community organizations that will be sharing the JB Young Opportunity Center, 1702 N Main St, Davenport, IA 52803, with the administrative offices of The Davenport Community School District.
This new location will provide The ALL with office spaces, classrooms for workshops, and display cases for artwork throughout the building. Those cases will feature the work of Isabel and John Bloom along with the work of the Reverend Edward M. Catich. His work, and others, will be on constant display as an inspiration for the art classes that will be taught by The ALL. We are very pleased that this location will be the only place in the world where Father Catich's artwork will be on display 365 days a year.
We are still in the process of learning what the opening times will be for the public to visit and view the works. We will keep you informed on this site!
The ALL will begin our move into the building on August 2017. We will have to customize our office space, organize the display cases, and plan our academic workshop schedule. We hope to host a grand opening of our new location sometime this fall.
Through our teaching arm, The Catfish Letter Arts School, we expect to utilize the talents of local and regional artisans, some of whom studied with the Blooms and Catich, to offer workshops and courses. However, we also intend to reach out to international artisans and instructors to join us in our educational mission. Below is a list of the proposed workshops and classes we are considering.
If you are interested in any of these classes, please send us an email to our email address: email@example.com. We will not share your email address with any other organization.
